My mother just had her central right lobe removed through surgery (2wks. ago). Now, due to the biopsy of adenocarcinoma - they are recommending radiation to the brain and more chemo even though the only other cancer cells found were in the lymph nodes of the lobe removed. Is adenocarcinoma so virulent that we can't "wait and see". Also, is anyone out there who chose NOT to go the radiation and chemo route? We're looking for "proven" options. Please help.
