Sorry, you're pretty much out of luck on that one. Leucine, molecular weight of 131 ad a pI of 5.98, hydrophobic side chain, is not going to be filterable selectively. Asparagine, Hyroxyproline, Isoleucine, Aspartic Acid are all molecular weight of 131-133 and with the exception of Aspartic Acid in the same pI range. They would also be lost assuming a nanofiltration membrane with that tight of a cut-off could be purchased. Realistically, filtration would tend to remove either all or no amino acids at about the same level of efficiency. You can try contacting some of the other cell culture media companies to see if any of them either offer or will make a leucine-free DMEM formulation for you. Lubrol
