We have successully used Integra Biosciences CELLine CL-350 flasks which are a perfusion based system to increase cell density in the cell compartment. We can achieve 25 million cells/ml (200+ million per flask), compated to 2 million/ml(20 million/flask) in a T-75.

Note that the cells in teh CL-350 are in a compartment containg 5-9 mls of medium, but that there is a medium reservoir containing a further 340mls of medium. Your recombinant protein is retained in the cell compartment making it easier to purify.

Thank you very much Seanpeel ,but I think I will not be able to use these flasks as they must be meant for adherent cell lines & my cell lines are adopted to suspension.

Hi Lena:

The CL series flasks are for suspension culture, the AS-series flasks are for adhesion. You can definately use the CL-350 or CL-1000 flasks for suspension cultures (we have !)
