What would be a safe volume capacity for hollow cell cultivation. I use a fiber cell C2018. I average 1 mg/ml per harvest.
How many flasks should I add, what size?
Thanx,
Cathy

I'm not sure that I understand your question.....

I work with several different sizes of hollow fibers. What I generally do is to find out what the extracapillary volume is from the manufacturer. I take my cells and resuspend them in half of that volume and inject them while I have a syringe on the outlet. I have tried slow injection, fast inject and repeated small fast injections and what I have found that works best for me is to fast inject cells in the upstream inlet and to wait a few hours and then repeat, injecting the cells into the downstream inlet. This helps me get an even distribution of cells even in large fibers.
