Does anyone have the formula for Glucose Utilization Rate in a Bioreactor? Thanks, Diane

mu= YU -kd

mu = specific growth rate
Y = yield coefficient
i.e.the mass of cells produced per unit mass of substrate utilized
kd= is the decay coefficient
U = specific substrate utilization rate
which is actually 1/X ds/dt
so you could make ds/dt the subject of the formula and get the ds/dt

x is your biomass concentration
ds/dt is rate of substrate utilization
