Dear heleng,
With respect to proteins, any protein that is over diluted with out any stabilizer tend to self aggregate and reaches a equilibrium. This may be due hydrophobic attraction or due to Van der waal’s interaction. That is the reason why pure proteins or either stored in the form of lyophilized powder or with stabilizers like sugars or albumin.
Hope that answers your question.
Have a nice research.
