That is a tough questions to answer. The hollow fiber system is made to be user friendly and convenient as compared to a normal cell profusion system. I cannot directly compare these two systems since I am not sure what you mean by "traditional" bioreactor. Whatever system you use should have some sort of users guide that tells how much media you need and cell density. What you will use usually depends on space available and requirements of the user.
