can we use autoclve steriliztion for the glass pippettes for cell culture?

 | Sure, there is no reason not to autoclave the pipettes. Just make sure you wrap them properly (autoclave pouches or cans)and use the "Dry" cycle. That will minimize moisture remaining in the pipettes after sterilization. I'd make sure that you are using a pure water autoclave first or to check for toxicity after autoclaving if the machine is supplied with steam from a building-wide boiler. Building steam supplies can sometime be pretty dirty. |

 | After autoclaving, better you keep the pipettes in a hot air oven at a reduced temperature (80oC) for 3 - 4 hrs. It works well. And, as suggested previousely, make sure that the water in the autocalve is clean and fresh. |
